Sea'ties: helping coastal towns adapt to rising sea levels
Because coastal cities are densely populated and particularly exposed to the threats posed by rising sea levels, the Ocean & Climate Platform (OCP) has launched the international Sea'ties programme. The aim is to encourage the sharing of scientific data and best practice, so that coastal areas can implement effective and sustainable adaptation solutions.

Fondation de France launches the Ocean 2025 programme
Oceans and coasts play a key role in the ecological balance of our planet: they are home to up to 80% of life on earth, regulate the climate, store carbon and perform crucial ecological and social functions. However, these environments are under increasing threat from the effects of climate change, pollution, overfishing and coastal development. Faced with these challenges, Fondation de France, which has been active for over 15 years in supporting a fair and inclusive ecological transition, is stepping up its commitment, particularly in mainland France and the overseas territories.

Coast and Sea Days 2022: Climate change challenges for the coastline
On June 9 and 10, Fondation de France is organizing the Coast and Sea Days 2022 in La Rochelle. This edition is focused on the challenges that coastal towns and regions face as they confront the effects of climate change.

Understanding climate change and tackling it... fast!
Tackling climate disruption needs an urgent response! There is a huge amount of work to do: taking the full measure of the problem and its consequences but above all, designing lifestyles and production patterns that are less “climate-challenging.”
