Every single day, Fondation de France provides encouragement and support and turns the urge to act into effective and meaningful action for a more mindful and just society.
It operates in two ways: via its own programs and by facilitating the work of its 888 donor-advised funds. In this way, it supports almost 10,000 projects each year in all nonprofit sectors:
- helping vulnerable people;
- promoting culture and creation;
- encouraging research and education;
- working for a sustainable environment;
- developing philanthropy.

A network of experts serving all causes
Fondation de France is the leading philanthropy network in France and brings together all engaged actors – donors, founders, volunteers, project leaders, partners etc. – to achieve its missions.
To that end, Fondation de France relies on its 32 program expert committees. Their volunteer members select the projects to be supported, take on their management and ensure their funding.
Fondation de France is a multi-faceted organization whose know-how and expertise has, over half a century, been acting in all projects that address current social issues: inclusive housing, patient-centered care, research on children’s neurodevelopment, combating early school leaving, preserving coastal areas, etc.

Every day, Fondation de France shelters and guides 888 funds and foundations. Creating a foundation is first and foremost a project and a commitment to others, with the desire to have a positive impact on society for future generations. Solidarity, culture, environment, research and education are some of the single or multiple causes that funds and foundations engage in. This network enables founders to share best practices, ideas and feedback and to have a greater impact on society.
