Concerning the environment, the Fondation de France has four main lines of action:

• education on the environment;
• social cooperation to protect the environment and local development;
• sustainable rural development in an enlarged Europe;
• the acoustic environment: education, the prevention of conflict arising from noise issues and concerted efforts to generate better acoustic spaces in neighbourhoods and communities.
