Fraudulent emails alert

28 Avril 2008 - Fondation de France

© H.Azmoun

Messages circulate on behalf of la Fondation de France on Internet and by e-mail. Such messages are deceitful e-mails, emanating from persons pretending being members of la Fondation de France and who announce to their interlocutor, often in English language, that he/she would have been chosen to receive a cash grant/donation of a large amount.

The next step is usually the demand to pay some fees before receiving this grant/donation.

Be aware that La Fondation de France is not the sender of these messages and has filed a complaint with the French courts. La Fondation de France reminds its donors and partners that it awards subsidies, prices and grants only after a formal demand of financing, and never in a spontaneous way. (See politique de distribution des fonds).

La Fondation de France never requests for a contribution to administrative costs or other expenses whatever nature they are, in return of the allocation of a subsidy, price or grant.

Finally, any mail or message emanating from la Fondation de France is established in French, and not in another language.
